I Can't See The Church For The Steeples

By: Lana Faye Hollenback

She is cherished and adored

She stands alone in beauty

In righteousness she is adorned

Her garment spotless white

I know my eyes should see her

Arrayed in all her beauty

But I can't see the church

For all the steeples.

So Lord, I pray for healing

For these blind eyes of mine

That I may have clear vision

To see her down through time

I really want to see her

Arrayed in all her beauty

But I can't see the church

For all the steeples.
