Cries In The Night
By: Lana Faye Hollenback

For years I've built a barricade
That no one could get through
But now the tides have turned
Emotions flood my soul
I feel the pain of many years
I've no more fight, I've lost my soul

With a flick of a button
And a stroke of a key
The barricade fell
Exposing all of me

I'm drowning now and there's no way out
To win is to lose
To lose is to win
And I have forgotten how to swim
My soul is bursting to be free
My God My God why hath thou forgotten me.

With a flick of a button
And a stroke of a key
The barricade fell
Exposing all of me

A soft touch, A warm embrace
Life has surely cheated me
A love won was a love lost
Here in lies the irony
I have lived and loved and lost again
And love has finally came to me.

With a flick of a button
And a stroke of a key
The barricade fell
Love came to me.
